TWO Adventist health facilities in Yangoru Saussia District have received a significant boost to their service capacity, with new ambulances presented to Naksimigel Sub Health Centre and Witipe Sub Health Centre at a ceremony held at Yangoru Station.

The ambulances were presented by the Member for Yangoru-Saussia and Minister for International Trade and Investment, Hon. Richard Maru, and were joyfully received by the Officers in Charge of both health centres. The moment was marked by a strong sense of gratitude from all present, reflecting the significance of the gift to two facilities that serve some of the most underserved communities in East Sepik Province.

Representing the Adventist Health Services at the ceremony was Human Resources Officer Mr. Scannah Aris, who was present to witness the handover on behalf of the agency. His attendance underscored the Sepik Mission’s recognition of the event as an important milestone for its health ministry in the Yangoru Saussia area.

Health Director Mr. Daiven Watio responded on behalf of the health department, expressing appreciation to the district and the government for their continued commitment to supporting health service delivery for the people of Yangoru Saussia. His remarks echoed a sentiment shared across both health centres, where the arrival of the ambulances represents a direct and practical improvement to the quality of care they can now offer.

For the Adventist Health Services of Sepik Mission, the presentation is an added blessing amid the ongoing challenges of delivering quality health care across a vast and geographically demanding territory. The new ambulances will directly strengthen the capacity of both Naksimigel and Witipe to respond to medical emergencies and extend their reach to the communities depending on them.
