The May River Health Center, located deep in the Sepik River region, recently underwent a significant upgrade to its communication and electricity capabilities. This project, spearheaded by the Sepik Seventh-day Adventist (SDA) Health Services, promises to greatly enhance healthcare delivery at the centre.
Previously, the clinic grappled with limited communication options. The new VSAT internet connection will address this challenge by providing staff with a reliable way to share critical health reports, access essential information, and even seek emergency assistance when needed.

In addition to improved communication, the installation of three additional solar panels and two batteries will significantly improve the clinic's solar power supply. This will ensure a brighter and more functional environment for both staff and patients, particularly during nighttime hours.
This project exemplifies the Sepik SDA Health Services' ongoing dedication to improving healthcare access and infrastructure in remote areas. They plan to replicate this model at the Koil Sub Health Centre on Koil Island, further expanding their reach and impact.
